Stayed at Le Quartier Francais in Franschhoek, one of the two major wine areas of South Africa (the other being Stellenbosh) outside of Capetown. Hotel was fantastic, and the restaurant there even better. Recommended.

Stayed at Le Quartier Francais in Franschhoek, one of the two major wine areas of South Africa (the other being Stellenbosh) outside of Capetown. Hotel was fantastic, and the restaurant there even better. Recommended.

Also spent time in Capetown, where we tasted more wine and visited the Malay District (muslim area with bright colored homes), and took a day trip down to Cape Point where you fight off the baboons, see penguins, and take in the scenery.
