A very friendly hotel, good sized rooms and well furnished. The location is fairly good; near The Empire State Building, 5th Avenue, Rockefeller Centre and Times Square. However, I think we would have preferred to stay in a more residential area as places shut down in the evening and there was a shortage of good restaurants nearby.
The Japanese restaurant in the hotel is very good though. Lively and pricey, but the food is excellent.

This is pub and a very good one. The bart staff are very welcoming and the atmosphere is lively. Good beer and we had a lovely lasagne at the bar.

Much improved since my last visit in 1990. It feels safer and cleaner. It's a very convenient way to get around.
